About F-GSPY: The Aircraft Involved in the Emergency on AF291 Osaka-Paris…
As per Planespotters, F-GSPY is a 22.1 year old Boeing 777-200ER that was delivered to the airline in April 2002.
Of the 777-200ER variant, the French carrier has 18 of them, of which all but two are in active service.
Furthermore, average fleet age of the variant at the airline stands at 23.8 years.

The cause of the emergency is unclear. However, the status page on Air France’s website shows a departure slot from Baku to Paris at 1830 local time.
Furthermore, it is unclear whether this will be followed by the Osaka-originated flight.
