Hogan Lovells advises Smart Metering Systems on its £1.3 billion takeover offer by KKR

London, 08 December 2023 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised UK-listed energy infrastructure company Smart Metering Systems plc (SMS) on a recommended £1.3 billion takeover offer by private equity firm KKR.

Headquartered in Glasgow, SMS is one of the UK leaders in smart energy assets and provides a full end-to-end service in metering, grid-scale battery storage systems, electric vehicle chargers and other carbon reduction assets. SMS employs about 1,500 people, primarily in the United Kingdom.
