Latham Advises on Mistral AI’s €385 Million Series A Funding Round

Latham & Watkins has advised lead investor a16z (Andreessen Horowitz) on the Series A financing round of Mistral AI, a French start-up specializing in generative artificial intelligence. The fundraising values Mistral AI at €2 billion (post-money valuation).

The cross-border Latham team was led by Paris corporate partner Pierre-Louis Cléro and Bay Area partner Benjamin Potter, with Paris counsel Xavier Nassoy and associates Eléonore Béthouart and Kenza Driss. Advice was also provided on intellectual property and AI related matters by Paris partner Jean-Luc Juhan with associate Daniel Martel, and on employment matters by Paris counsel Romain Nairi.
