TUI Belgium Launches Brussels-Curacao Flights

This week, TUI Belgium have revealed that they’ll be commencing a new service to Curacao, this coming winter season.

TUI Belgium to Commence Curacao

Inaugurating on November 5, 2024, TUI Belgium will start new services between Brussels Airport (BRU) in Belgium and Willemstad Curacao Hato International Airport (CUR) in Curacao.

In addition, the new service will be operated on a twice weekly basis on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Whilst being combined with the carriers’ existing route to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

The new route to Curacao, it is to be operated by the carrier’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.

TUI Belgium operates only one Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. It has a seating configuration of 25 Premium Economy and 280 Economy class seats.

Registered as OO-JDL and named Diamond, according to Planespotters, the aircraft is currently just over 10 years old.

In addition to the 787, TUI Belgium operates a fleet of three Embraer E195 E2s. AS well as, four Boeing 737-700s, 10 Boeing 737-800s, and four Boeing 737 MAX 8s.

Furthermore carrier is to take on 10 more Boeing 737 MAX 8s and four Boeing 737 MAX 10s.


Finally, a spokesperson for TUI Belgium has commented on the announcement, saying, “TUI Belgium, the largest travel organization in the country, will offer flights and package tours to the Caribbean vacation destination Curaçao starting in November.”

“This exotic island, part of the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao), is very versatile due to a mix of European and Caribbean culture.”

“The capital of Curaçao, Willemstad, is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is characterized by its unique, colorful architecture and vibrant atmosphere. The attractive coasts of Curaçao are one of the island’s main assets, with numerous bays featuring beautiful sandy beaches.”

“Curaçao is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and the official language is Dutch, making Curaçao a top destination for our northern neighbors for years. Curaçao also enjoys increasing interest in Belgium, especially during the winter months when Belgians can enjoy temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius.”

“The island boasts an extensive accommodation infrastructure. TUI tour operator offers dozens of hotels in all categories on Curaçao, from luxury resorts to small hotels and apartments.”

“There is also a wide variety of accommodation options, ranging from room-only to all-inclusive.”
