Earlier today, a Jet2 flight between Edinburgh and Ibiza diverted to Bristol due to a unruly passenger onboard.
Information has been released pertinent to this incident, which we will get into in this article.

Jet2 Flight LS789 – Edinburgh to Ibiza: Bristol Diversion…
Jet2 flight LS789, which diverted to Bristol, is a routine scheduled flight between Edinburgh and Ibiza.
The aircraft involved in the incident is registered as G-DRTW.
As per data from Planespotters.net, G-DRTW is a 24.3 year old Boeing 737-800 that started out life with Travel Service in April 2000.
By February 2003, the aircraft was handed over to Travel Service Spain, where it then did a leasing stint with Air Berlin in May 2005.
In March 2007, the aircraft was handed back to GECAS, where it then did stints with Primera Air and it’s Scandinavia & Nordic subsidiaries.
In October 2018, the aircraft was handed over to Genesis Aircraft Services, before being sent to Jet2 in March 2019.
Of the 737-800 variant, LS have 98 of them in their fleet.
Furthermore, of that 98, all but two are in active service, with an average age of 14.7 years.
Jet2 flight LS789 departed Edinburgh at 0858 local time today and headed south towards Ibiza.
Over the Channel Islands, the aircraft made a u-turn and proceeded to descend heavily into Bristol.
The aircraft landed there safely without further incident.
A passenger who was flying on the return Ibiza-Edinburgh flight was made aware of a six-hour delay due to the disruptive passenger in Bristol.

Data from RadarBox shows that at 1457 local time this afternoon, the aircraft departed Bristol and continued on to Ibiza.
Under the callsign EXS789D, the aircraft eventually landed into Ibiza at 1807 local time.
It is assumed that the disruptive passenger from Edinburgh was taken off the aircraft in BRS.
