More Flights to the Caribbean & Latin America

American Airlines has this week revealed plans to add more flights to the Caribbean and Latin America for the Winter 2024/25 season.

Eight new routes will be added into the region, offering more choice for passengers in the colder season.

The New Flights to the Caribbean & Latin America…

American Airlines will launch the following new routes in the Caribbean & Latin America:

  • Charlotte-St. Vincent & The Grenadines – Launching December 7 – 1x weekly.
  • Miami-La Romana – Launching December 5 – Daily services.
  • New York JFK-Bridgetown – Launching November 5 – Daily services.
  • JFK-St. Lucia – Launching December 7 – 1x weekly.
  • JFK-St. Maarten – Launching December 7 – 1x weekly.
  • JFK-St. Vincent & The Grenadines – Launching December 7 – 1x weekly.
  • Philadelphia-Bridgetown – Launching November 9 – 1x weekly.
  • Philadelphia-Liberia – Launching December 7 – 1x weekly.

Commenting on the flight additions was Brian Znotins, American’s Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning:

“Customers will have more reasons to choose American than ever before for nonstop fun in the sun this year”.

“We are excited to continue growing our network to the region with more flights this winter to the Caribbean and Latin America than any other U.S. carrier ever.”

Existing Services Will Be Increased…

On top of the new routes to the Caribbean & Latin America, American Airlines will be increasing flights on the following routes:

  • Charlotte-Antigua – Increasing to daily service from December 5.
  • Chicago-Los Cabos – Increasing to twice daily service between December 19-January 6, 2025.
  • Chicago-Nassau – Increasing to daily service on December 5.
  • Dallas-Comayagua – Increasing to twice-weekly service on December 5.
  • Dallas-Grand Cayman – Increasing to daily service on December 5.
  • Dallas-Huatulco – Increasing to daily service on December 5.
  • Dallas-Nassau – Increasing to daily service on December 5.
  • Dallas-Oaxaca – Increasing to twice-daily service on November 5.
  • Dallas-Zihuatanejo – Increasing to daily service on December 5.
  • Los Angeles-Los Cabos – Increasing to twice-daily service between December 19-January 6, 2025.
  • Miami-Bonaire – Increasing to daily service on December 5.
  • Miami-Cancun – Increasing to six daily flights between December 19-January 6, 2025.
  • Miami-Ocho Rios – Increasing to daily service on December 5.
  • Miami-Tortola – Increasing to five peak-day flights on December 7.
  • Phoenix-Cancun – Increasing to two daily flights on November 5.
  • Phoenix-Puerto Vallarta – Increasing to three daily flights on November 5.

Overall, American Airlines will offer 11% more departures and 10% more seats compared to Winter 2023/24.

A total of 2,350 peak weekly flights to more than 95 destinations in Latin America & Caribbean will be on offer.

The Caribbean and Latin America market is clearly playing a major factor within this.

It remains clear that American Airlines is going to be busy over the Winter 2024/25 season.

With thousands of weekly flights on offer to the region, it will be interesting to see how they perform.

It is clear that these markets are crucial to ensure success over the Winter, which is typically not as busy as the Summer season.

But for now, let’s see things go when we approach that quieter period of the year.
