TUI Exceeds 20bn EUR in Revenue, Finishing The Year on A High

The TUI Group has revealed they have achieved over 20bn EUR in revenue, and are expected to finish the full year on a strong high.

Responsible for the UK, Scandinavia, Belgium and Germany subsidiaries, the Group’s revenue for the year has climbed 25% to 20.7bn EUR.

Underlying group profit at TUI has increased to 977m EUR from 409m EUR recorded in the previous year.

On the Markets & Airlines front, there has been strong recovery from a 59m EUR loss recorded last year to a 241m EUR profit this year.

Net dept has been significantly reduced by 1.3bn EUR, with over 19m passengers handled in the full-year 2023, an increase from 16.7m.

Commenting on the strong results was the TUI Group CEO Sebastian Ebel:

“The transformation is taking effect, 2023 was a good year for TUI. Hotels and cruises are growth areas and highly profitable.”

“Other segments, such as the tour operator business, are undergoing transformation in order to also return to very good profitability.”

“Our strategic initiatives to increase value and the current booking trend lead us to expect a further improvement in 2024.”

“Our forecast for the current financial year reflects our ambition and confidence in the brand, our market position and the commitment of our employees.”

All eyes will be on how the TUI Group continues to perform towards the end of this year, as well as into the beginning of 2024 and beyond.
